Our Executive Director started our society in 1994.  The scope or dimensions of the role of the Executive Director are significant: Margaret's responsibility ranges from the management of staff, contractors, and volunteers, meeting community needs, strategic financial management, to risk mitigation.

IT Technician – Team Lead

Our IT Technician – Team Lead provides expertise in Information Technology within Employment Solutions ensuring our IT systems and devices are up to date, inclusive and accessible to all. Bonnie has been with us since 2002.

Bookkeeper

Our Bookkeeper/Financial Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with Federal and Provincial financial accounting policies and procedures. Jennifer completes the financial statements, budgets for all agreements, and ensures all supporting information is complete and accurate.

Our Information Resource Specialist is the face of our society, Charmaine welcomes and provides the information and resources needed by individuals and employers to access our employment assistance services and programs in our Bridgewater Centre.

​Information Resource Specialist/Workshop Facilitator

Our Information Resource Specialist is the face of our society, Emily welcomes and provides the information and resources needed by individuals and employers to access our employment assistance services and programs in our Liverpool Centre. She is one of our Workshop Facilitators and provides instruction and guidance to session participants through a process of co-creation, active dialogue, and working together efficiently to help reach a particular goal. During each Workshop and Webinar, participants gain a better understanding of the skills needed to lead to meaningful employment.

During each Workshop and Webinar Maria ensures participants gain a better understanding of the skills needed to lead to meaningful employment.

Job ​Developer

Our Job Developer acts as a bridge between job seekers and employers to streamline the application and hiring process. Nicole provides individual assistance to job seekers with focused resumes and cover letters for job specific applications, assists with interview preparations and help build a network. She provides ongoing support to both job seekers and employers throughout the hiring process while individuals transition through the first few days of work.

​ Employment Support Practitioner

Our Employment Support Practitioner covers 3 distinct areas with individual job seekers; employment maintenance, skills enhancement and job search. This can include helping individuals craft resumes and cover letters, better their job search skills, and prepare for interviews. Support is provided to our clients during the transition to employment and, when necessary, provide follow up strategies to better understand employer expectations related to their on-the-job responsibilities. ​

Our Case Manager/Career Development Practitioner's job is to collaborate with job seekers in creating a strong return to work action plan that teaches the job seeker the skills and abilities needed to move successfully towards their employment plan. Case managers help with job search, career decision making and accessing funding programs for work experience, retraining and self-employment.  Heather is also our Operations Manager keeping everything running smoothly throughout our organization.

School Liaison

Our School Liaison works with students Grades 7-12, and their families, to explore entering the workforce. Kevin offers access to the latest provincial and national labor market trends, help students find co-op and job shadowing opportunities, provide one-on-one and group employment info sessions in the Lockeport Regional High School, Liverpool Regional High School, Shelburne Regional High School and Barrington Municipal High School.

Mike offers access to the latest provincial and national labor market trends, help students find co-op and job shadowing opportunities, provide one-on-one and group employment info sessions in North Queens Community School, Parkview Education Center, New Germany Rural High School, and Forest Heights Community School.

Employer Engagement Specialist

Our Employer Engagement Specialist works closely with employer partners to assess their needs and develop action plans.  Jim also works with community and government partners to identify and plan for economic development opportunities in our region.  On the ground level Jim assists employers with recruitment, retention, and marketing of their employment opportunities and offers support with access to wage funding programs which assist their business growth.

Adult Learning Opportunities Instructor

An instructor within the Lunenburg County Adult Learning Opportunities Program, helps people (aged 18+) develop learning plans and progress towards their goals. Also assists learners to improve skills in communications, math, and other subjects as well as help some learners prepare for GED tests, while others may continue their education at NSCC. ​

Jennifer Meister, MEd, BEd, BA 

​Adult Learning Opportunities Instructor

As an instructor within the Lunenburg County Adult Learning Opportunities Program, Jennifer works with adult learners to develop learning plans and set goals in reading, writing, and math. She also helps learners reach their employment, educational, or personal goals.  She delivers training in basic computer skills, essential skills, workplace communications and math.
